Rev. Allen Hartsfield
Rev. Allen Hartsfield is the pastor appointed to our church effective  June 2019.  He formerly was the pastor of the Alma United Methodist Church.

Rev. Hartsfield graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor of Arts in Christianity/Philosophy in 1980.

He has worked for Grady County Schools as an electrician and obtained a Georgia state electrical license and has taught in the electrical progr
am at Southwest Georgia Technical College.

Hartsfield is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary, completing his Master of Divinity in 2005 and he was ordained as an elder in full connection in 2008.

Allen's home church is the Whigham United Methodist Church.

As a student pastor, he served the Cairo Circuit (which includes the Friendship/Woodland/Bold Springs churches) from 1999-2006. In 2006 he was appointed to the Morningside UMC in Thomasville, Georgia where he served for nine years.

Allen and his wife, Kaye, have two sons, Sam Hartsfield, who lives and works in Duluth, GA, and Jonathan Hartsfield, who lives and works in Athens, GA.
