Hazlehurst First Methodist Church is currently seeking dedicated persons to serve in the following capacities.
Director of Music
Hazlehurst First Methodist Church is seeking a Director of Music to coordinate the music programming of a variety of services. We are searching to fill a Part-time salaried position with flexible scheduling and paid vacation. Our sanctuary has upgraded our audio/visual equipment in 2023.
Church can include use of house on church campus as part of compensation package if needed.
The successful candidate must have experience in:
● Displaying a professional level of musical talent from training and experience
● Communicate well with the Pastor, Worship committees, and others
● Planning hymns and special music with the Pastor
● Re-establish, recruit and direct an adult choir for Sunday services, musical programs, etc.
● Planning & directing weekly adult choir practices
● Planning & directing children’s music program on Wednesday evenings
● Providing or arranging for Special Music for worship and special services
● Expanding the music program offerings with the Pastor
Commitment during the week: Weekly rehearsal & children’s program, Sunday Worship, Special Worship Services, Memorial Services, Weddings, and other special events..
